A digital home for our class: calendar, achievers, profiles, gallery, games and chat, in one place.
What this site is
The Grade 8 Portal brings together everything the class needs day to day: upcoming tests and events, the achievers leaderboard, a photo gallery, five educational games, and a group chat â with an admin dashboard for the three class administrators.
Who it's for
Grade 8 students, teachers, and class administrators. Students can build a profile and avatar, join the chat, add gallery pictures, and play games. Administrators manage users, content and the calendar.
Static demo build â what that means
This version of the portal runs entirely in your browser with no backend server. All data â profiles, messages, gallery pictures, events and scores â is stored in this browser's localStorage, which means:
- Data stays on this device only and isn't shared with classmates on other devices.
- Clearing your browser data will reset the demo back to the sample content.
- Login is a simulated, static demo â not secure production authentication. See the README for what a real deployment needs.
